#newyorkbiology essential oils review

The lovely people at New York Biology sent me some essential oils to play with and review in exchange for an honest review. I'll be honest in saying that I know next to nothing when it comes to essential oils. I know that they are supposed to be really good for you, and have a ton of health related benefits, but aside from that, I know nada, nothing, zilch. In saying this, I recieved three different oils, Tea Tree, Lavender and Peppermint. I'll go through each oil and tell you my thoughts.

Skincare line for under $3?! | Dollar Tree Haul

In two weeks I'll have a much more in-depth review of the skincare products. As for the BB cream, I'm still shocked that I liked it as much as I do. Tomorrow I'm going to do a wear test, and see how long it takes (hours wise), until it breaks down.

quick post on a recent #voxbox.

I got another #voxbox from Influenster and#ZzzQuil. This voxbox is for all the #SleepLovers out there. #ZzzQuil helps you fall asleep quicker and have a sound sleep for 7-8 hours and the best part is that it's only for sleep, not for pain like other sleep aids. I've used this product in the past and found that it didn't really work for me. I found that yes, it did make me a bit sleepier, but nowhere near "ready to drool all over my pillow sleep" and I can say that it didn't keep me asleep; with that being said, I do know people who swear by #ZzzQuil to help them fall asleep/stay asleep.

#techunboxing: BOYA BY-M1 Lavalier Microphone

I just recently bought this microphone off of Amazon. And let me tell you, for under $20 (USD) this is a great mic; the sound is wonderful and it cuts out (most) background noise. I tested this on camera when my A/C kicked on and when the construction was at top volume outside, all you heard was my voice. I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy this earlier. Sometimes our most beloved and favorite products turn on us. This is a story of that happening.

let's talk about face masks.

At one point or another you've (probably) tried a face mask. I'm willing to bet one of two things happened, you either loved it or you hated it. Well, I'm in that boat with you. The first time I tried a mask I had a horrible chemical reaction and my face burned for hours. Fast forward a few years and I've finally figured out which ones work for me and which ones don't. For starters, always always ALWAYS read what's in the mask and do a patch test on your inner elbow. I've found that Freeman Beauty's line of masks work A-OK with my skin, minus the evil banana and oatmeal one (which come to find out I'm allergic to oatmeal when it touches my skin.) In today's post and video, I'll go over a few of my favorite masks. FYI: I have combo to normal skin; aka: I'm oily on most of face and not in others, so most of these masks are made for combo to normal skin types.

Finding samples in my mailbox is like getting a present that you've forgotten about. Anyway, I received a #pinchme box that contained two new V8 drinks: V8+energy and V8 Veggie Blends.

First let's talk about the V8+Energy. Holy cow! This was not only delicious, but it didn't have that classic V8 taste, a taste that most people find gross (me included). The flavor I got was 'orange+pineapple' and it was most definitely pineapple. If you didn't already know, (and how could you, I've never mentioned it before) but LOVE pineapple, no seriously, I could eat a whole pineapple everyday and not get tired of it. With that being said, sometimes pineapple flavored drinks have a taste that is nothing like pineapple, and tastes more like plastic. This was not the case with this V8+Energy drink. It was a smooth and refreshing pineapple, with very little orange flavor (which I am totally a-ok with). As you can see, the drinks claims to have "a sip with a zip", and it 100% delivers on that claim. It's slightly carbonated, so you get that energy drink feel, but it's not overbearing like the carbonation that a Red Bull or Monster has. I would classify the V8+Energy drink as light, refreshing and something that you can drink all day.

Now onto the V8 Veggie Blend. Umm, how do I put this? It was gross and tasted nothing like the flavors it claimed to be, which was (supposedly) "mandarin orange kiwi". Let me tell you, it tasted like a cheap orange drink and had no hints of kiwi, like anywhere. The orange had that undeniable plastic taste and left a horrible aftertaste in my mouth, I wasn't a fan and will probably never purchase this in the future. I had roughly, I dunno, 4 total sips and never opened the bottle again. I will admit that I'm going to try and "doctor it" up with some sprite. I'm crossing my fingers that adding the sprite will at least make the taste and "flavor" passable.

All in all, the V8+Energy was hands down my favorite in this #pinchme box. As for the V8 Veggie Blend, I really hope I never have to taste that devil juice ever again. Here's a link to the video.
